Hydro8

The Hydrographic Society UK is organising and hosting the 16th European Hydro Conference – Hydro8 – in Liverpool in November 2008.

The three-day conference and exhibition will take place at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, situated just a three-minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street Station, and ten minutes walk from the historic Albert Dock. Built in 1914 in the era of the Titanic, this grand hotel has recently undergone extensive refurbishments whilst retaining its original character.

Liverpool is a world-renowned centre of maritime, cultural and sporting excellence. This vibrant city has been undergoing a massive, multi-billion pound programme of transformation as it celebrates both the 800th anniversary of the signing of its first Royal Charter by King John in 1207, and its reign as the European Capital of Culture in 2008. 

The Hydrographic Society UK has appointed 'The Conference Business' (CB) as the Event Administrator of Hydro8. CB will be responsible for event logistics including delegate registrations, and the sales and management of the sponsorship and exhibition space. CB organises and manages conferences and exhibitions, on behalf of associations and agencies and it was the Event Manager for the Shallow Survey 2005 Conference held in Plymouth, UK.
